Per Owala's FAQ, the FreeSip lid and straw are top-rack dishwasher safe on every model. On the stainless steel FreeSip, the painted steel body should be hand washed to protect the finish; if you have the plastic Tritan FreeSip, all parts including the body are top-rack dishwasher safe.
How do you wash Owala FreeSip?
Lid and straw: top rack (the straw can go in the silverware basket). Stainless body: hand wash with warm soapy water and a bottle brush. Plastic body: top rack is fine.
