Why
Most metal whisks are dishwasher safe, but the high heat and harsh detergents can cause discoloration or corrosion over time. Silicone-coated or wooden handles may not withstand the dishwasher. Plastic whisks can warp.
How to wash it
Hand wash with warm soapy water and a soft sponge, then dry immediately. If using a dishwasher, place on the top rack and avoid high heat settings.
