Why
Tervis designed its classic insulated and Crystal Clear tumblers to survive normal dishwasher use, ideally on the top rack. For stainless steel Tervis: models bought after January 9, 2023 are dishwasher safe, but legacy stainless tumblers bought before that date should never go in the dishwasher, as the heat can ruin the insulation.
How to wash it
Classic/Crystal Clear and newer stainless: top rack, standard settings. Legacy (pre-2023) stainless: hand wash only with warm soapy water.
