Suction plates are generally dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended to preserve the suction base.
Why
Most suction plates are made of food-grade silicone or BPA-free plastic, which are dishwasher safe on the top rack. However, high heat and harsh detergents can degrade the suction over time, causing the plate to lose its grip.
How to wash it
Wash with warm soapy water and a soft sponge. If using a dishwasher, place on the top rack away from heating elements.
