Is Solo Cup dishwasher safe?

Solo cups are generally not recommended for the dishwasher, but some heavy-duty versions may be top-rack safe.
Why
Standard Solo cups are made of thin plastic (polystyrene or polypropylene) that can warp or melt in high heat. The dishwasher's heat and water pressure may cause deformation, and the cups may not stay in place. However, some thicker, reusable Solo-brand cups are labeled dishwasher safe on the top rack.
How to wash it
Hand wash with mild soap and warm water, then air dry. If using a dishwasher, place only on the top rack away from the heating element.
