Why
Cast iron and carbon steel skillets should never go in the dishwasher as they will rust and lose seasoning. Nonstick skillets may be damaged by high heat and harsh detergents, so hand washing is recommended. Stainless steel skillets are generally dishwasher safe, but hand washing prolongs appearance.
How do you wash Skillet?
Hand wash with mild soap and a soft sponge; dry immediately. For cast iron, avoid soap and dry thoroughly, then oil lightly.
