Why
Most metal pie pans (aluminum, steel) are dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended to prevent warping and maintain appearance. Glass or ceramic pie pans are generally dishwasher safe, but avoid rapid temperature changes. Nonstick-coated pans should be hand washed to preserve the coating.
How to wash it
Hand wash with mild detergent and a soft sponge to extend the life of the pan. If using a dishwasher, place on the top rack and avoid high heat drying cycles.
