Muffin tins are generally not recommended for the dishwasher, but some may be labeled as dishwasher safe.
Why
Most muffin tins are made of aluminum or nonstick-coated steel. Aluminum can discolor and warp in the dishwasher, while nonstick coatings can degrade from harsh detergents and high heat. However, some stainless steel or heavy-gauge tins may be dishwasher safe if the manufacturer states so.
How to wash it
Hand wash with warm soapy water and a soft sponge. For stuck-on food, soak before washing. Dry immediately to prevent rust or water spots.
