Meat tenderizers are generally not recommended for the dishwasher.
Why
Most meat tenderizers are made of metal (stainless steel or aluminum) with a textured face. While stainless steel is dishwasher safe, the high heat and harsh detergents can dull the tenderizing surface over time. Additionally, wooden handles on some models are not dishwasher safe.
How to wash it
Hand wash with warm soapy water and dry immediately. Avoid soaking to protect any wooden handles.
