Is Garlic Press dishwasher safe?

Garlic presses are generally not recommended for the dishwasher.
Why
Most garlic presses are made of aluminum, which can discolor and corrode in the dishwasher, or have small holes that are difficult to clean thoroughly. Even stainless steel models may have crevices where food gets trapped, and the high heat can damage plastic handles or non-stick coatings.
How to wash it
Hand wash with warm soapy water and a brush to remove garlic residue from the holes. Rinse and dry immediately to prevent corrosion.
