Is French Press dishwasher safe?

French presses are often not recommended for dishwasher use, but some models are dishwasher safe.
Why
Many French presses have metal mesh filters and glass carafes that can break or become damaged in the dishwasher. The high heat and harsh detergents may also degrade rubber or plastic components. However, some stainless steel models are labeled dishwasher safe.
How to wash it
Hand wash the carafe and plunger assembly with mild soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately to prevent water spots.
