Enamelware is generally dishwasher safe but hand washing is recommended to preserve the finish.
Why
Enamelware is made of a metal base (steel or iron) coated with a glass-like enamel. While the enamel is durable and can withstand dishwasher cycles, harsh detergents and high heat may cause chipping, fading, or dulling over time. Many manufacturers advise hand washing to extend the life of the product.
How to wash it
Hand wash with mild detergent and a soft sponge, then dry immediately. Avoid abrasive scrubbers and stacking while wet to prevent scratches.
