Why
Most baby food jars are made of tempered glass, which is dishwasher safe. However, the metal lids can rust or degrade over time in the dishwasher, and the high heat may weaken the seal. Additionally, glass jars can break if they knock against other items.
How to wash it
Wash glass jars on the top rack of the dishwasher with a gentle cycle, or hand wash with warm soapy water. Remove and hand wash the lids separately to extend their life.
