Bottle body, lid or straw: what goes in the dishwasher?

The answer can change between parts of the same bottle. YETI Rambler and Stanley Quencher allow machine washing, while Owala tells you to hand wash the stainless steel FreeSip body. Hydro Flask's powder-coated bottle guidance does not cover every product bearing the brand name.

Match the model before the brand

Identify the body material, finish and lid version. A replacement lid may have its own care instructions. A general brand FAQ can help, but your exact product's label and current manual take priority.

A top-rack lid does not make the whole bottle top-rack safe

Disassemble only the parts the maker describes as removable. Clean hidden seals and straw interiors separately, and let them dry before closing the bottle. Read our top-rack placement guide if you are unsure where to put a dishwasher-safe component.
